Docs · Using Orbit
Every Orbit view and capability: overview dashboard, project explorer, workspaces, technologies, favorites, and quick actions.
Orbit is organised into six views, all driven by a single scan of your projects directory.
The All Projects view lists standalone projects only. Workspace members live in the Workspaces view to avoid duplication.
Browse your stack grouped by category. Selecting a technology or category jumps straight to every project that uses it.
Star the projects you use most for quick access. A dedicated Favorites view collects them, including projects that live inside a workspace.
From any project card, list row, or the details modal you can open a single project. Each workspace group offers the same actions against the workspace root. Orbit uses the editor and terminal you chose in Settings, or auto-detects one. See Opening projects for the exact behaviour.
One Settings view covers where Orbit looks, what it opens, and what version you are running. It is split into three sections.
| Section | What you can do |
|---|---|
| General | Choose the projects directory (marked Default, Custom, or Unavailable), re-scan on demand, and see the dark-only theme note. |
| Applications | Pick the code editor and terminal Orbit launches — auto-detected, a known preset, or a custom command — plus the system file manager. |
| About | Read the app version and open the documentation or source repository. |
A responsive React + Tailwind interface with skeletons, empty states, and clear error banners. Brand logos for every technology are bundled locally so icons work fully offline.
